In his few moments of leisure Churchill, enjoyed walking his property in Chartwell in his Jeep that will inspire Land Rover years later, to create the famous Land Rover Defender.

On his death in 1965, the SUV came to Christopher Soames, British politician and theson-in-law of Churchill, who kept it until 1973, in 1967 decided to sell it at an auction of old cars for only 160 pounds.

Mercedes and AMG are in party for the 45 years developing dream cars together. And to celebrate a so long society , thei created five exclusive units of the Mercedes SLS Gullwing AMG GT3 45, a very special sports car .

This Mercedes SLS does not change anything in the mechanical side of the car, nor need: its 6.3 V8 engine with 591 hp and 650 Nm of torque is more than enough for "normal" use. Mercedes SLS AMG GT does 0-100 km / h in 3.7 seconds and reaches 320 kmh, attributes that certainly, this version improves thanks to extra features.

That Mercedes SLS AMG GT3 45 is a circuit car, it is noted on all new aerodynamic diffuser, spoiler, skirts ... which are made of carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) a very light material. To complete the weight reduction, fenders, doors and trunk are made of the same material.
The interior is as close as possible to the cockpit of a pilot. No trace of superfluous elements: only the cage, two baquets six anchor points, a steering wheel and a small carbon console.

The price of such a 'toy', in the German market is € 446,250 each.
