Performance
The hand-made V-12, 6.0-liter engine is a front, mid-mounted, giving the Virage outstanding performance. The engine produces 490 bhp with a torque of 420 lb-ft, driven by a Touchtronic II, six-speed automatic transmission through a carbon-fiber shaft, mounted on the transaxle. This aids towards the car's perfect balance.
The Virage goes from 0-62 mph, in 4.6 seconds, with a top speed of 186 mph. The fuel economy comes in at 13 mpg in the city, and 18 mpg on the highway.
Handling
A new Adaptive Damping System (ADS) technology, provides optimum road handling. It adapts to varying road conditions, and the system can select between five stiffness settings. The Sport button allows the driver to choose a sharper throttle response, with quicker gear changes, while holding gears without shifting up.
Add to that a new Carbon Ceramic Matrix (CCM) braking system which comes standard, and has incredible stopping power and response. The brakes are fade-resistant and lighter, reducing the total car weight, providing better handling and a more comfortable ride. The Vintage's lower rotational mass, also provides improved acceleration.

Exterior
Taut lines, with fluid curves of the bonded aluminum VH body, give the Virage a sleek, muscular look. The body inspiration comes from aerospace technology, where weight reduction is the goal. Its strong, light construction sits low and wide, on 20-inch, 5-spoke wheels.
The single, bi-xenon headlights, and aluminum-metal grill with 5 horizontal vanes, and new front bumper, give the car a modern look in front. The front wings, distinguish the Virage from other Aston Martin models, with a body that accentuates its width, and the swan wing doors, are reminders of the Aston Martin signature.
Interior
Inside, drivers are welcomed by the highest quality of Bridge of Weir leather, which is hand stitched, with a pinstripe welt which flows from the fascia, seats, and doors. The Virage's new and fully integrated Satellite Navigation system is compatible with Garmin, and operation has been simplified, through a four-way joystick.
The new, larger 6.5-inch high resolution display, guides the driver visually, as well as aurally. Some of the standard features of the 2012 Aston Martin Virage are heated seats, cruise control, Bluetooth, and the Aston Martin Premium 700W Audio system with Prologic II, Dolby, and full iPod compatibility. This powerful and elegant car is definitely worth a serious look.
